Innovative Engineering Solutions, Inc. (IESI) completed the Engineering, procurement and Construction for a 870 kW solar array for Kearsarge Energy in Chicopee, MA. The ground mounted system was installed near the local airbase and required FAA approval, endangered species (tiger moth) habitat review , and overcoming the challenge of some drainage swales and retention ponds for the parking area and airport. Working closely with the racking manufacturer and installer, IESI was able to maximize the size and orientation of the while maintaining the use of the swales and basins. As shown in the pictures this was a challenging install!
